Sleep Medicine
Good sleep is the cornerstone of good health

Statistics indicate that more than 100 million Americans suffer from insomnia at some time in their life, and the number of over-the-counter sleep aids sold in the country increases every year. However, using a sleep-inducer does not correct the underlying sleep disorder that may be causing the insomnia. Whenever a person has to use a sleep aid regularly to get to sleep or stay asleep, they should be evaluated for an underlying sleep disorder.

Statistics also indicate that more than 18 million Americans have sleep apnea and that another 2 to 4% of Americans are undiagnosed. Untreated sleep apnea can lead to numerous adverse health outcomes, including high blood pressure, high cholesterol, cardiac arrhythmias, pulmonary hypertension, right-sided heart failure, stroke and heart attack. Patients who have untreated sleep apnea are also more likely to suffer from depression, mood changes, poor memory, irritability, impaired concentration, and an increased risk of motor vehicle accidents.

We are here to help. We offer consultation, diagnosis and treatment for all of the following sleep disorders:
